The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra :

In Devanagari script:

ॐ त्र्यं॑बकं यजामहे सु॒गन्धिं॑ पुष्टि॒वर्ध॑नम् ।

उ॒र्वा॒रु॒कमि॑व॒ बन्ध॑नान् मृ॒त्योर् मु॑क्षीय॒ माऽमृता॑त् ।

transliteration:

Om tryambakam yajāmahe sugandhim puṣṭivardhanam

urvā rukamiv bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya mā’mṛtāt

Word-by-word meaning of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra

ॐ aum = is a sacred/mystical syllable in Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism & Sikhism.

त्र्यम्बकं tryambakam = to three-eyed one (accusative case),

त्रि + अम्बकम् = tri + ambakam = three + eye

यजामहे yajāmahe = in yagya in worship, (locative case)

सुगन्धिम् sugandhim = to fragrance, (accusative case),

पुष्टि puṣṭi = nourishment, sustenance

वर्धनम् vardhanam = increasing, flourishing

पुष्टि-वर्धनम् = puṣṭi+vardhanam = nourishment-increasing ( compound word)

उर्वारुकमिव urvārukam-iva = cucumber as (in the accusative case);

Note: uru: big, large; ārukam (in the accusative case): peach; iva: as

बन्धनान् bandhanān = “from bondage {i.e. from the stem of cucumber} (of the gourd); (the ending is actually long a, then -t, which changes to n/anusvara because of sandhi)

Note: bandhanāt means from bondage Thus, read with urvārukam iva, it means ‘as cucumber from bondage ( of vine) (to a vine)’

मृत्योर्मुक्षीय mṛtyormukṣīya = liberate from death

मृत्योः + मुक्षीय = mṛtyoḥ + mukṣīya= from death + free (Vedic usage)

माऽमृतात् अमृतात् = amṛtāt = by amrita, by immortality

The One face Rudraksha is the most auspicious in its existence. It is the symbol of Lord Shiva the Supreme power of Earth . The god who has created the entire world, the creator of language, dance, music and Ayurveda and Lord of love and for the cycle of birth and death. It is the Principal of

 all faces Rudraksha . According to the mythological books peace and pleasure abide in the house where one faced Rudraksha is worshiped. There is no fear of untimely death. Its wearer himself is fortunate by himself. One who gets it and worships it obtains not only all the worldly pleasures during his life  span but also remains unaffected by them.It is an ideal thing for the doctors. It helps them to diagnose the disease and gives them success in surgery too.Rudraksha of one face is virtually Shiva It removes the all kinds of sins. Therefore one should wear it for the destruction of all (ones) sins. He would go to Shiva’s heaven and rejoice with Shiva.Rudraksha of one face due 

to great religious merit and due to Shiva’s favour and would also obtain Kailasha.

Way of Use

One Face Rudraksha should be capped with GOLD or silver and should be worn round the neck or be placed at the worshiping place, chanting the mantra. Getting up in the morning the devotee should salute the one faced Rudraksha first, pronouncing mantra.

BenefitsThis fulfills desires and cuts down the problems and impediments created by the Government or superiors. It raises a person level to a very high level and leadership qualities are developed by its constant use. In astrology it is also used to removes the malefic effects of Sun.

Worn by all adult people. Any person who requires the favoring of Sun as a planet or to remove its malevolent effects or 

those seeking devotion to God, minimizing attachments to the worldly things and hoping to attain mokshshya.
